Educators are innovators.

At Chandelier Transformations Youth Mentoring Inc. (CTYM), we believe education is more than textbooks and tests—it’s transformation. Our “educators” are mentors, teaching artists, program specialists, parents, and community partners who help young people see themselves as leaders, creators, and problem-solvers.

We exist to ignite potential in youth from urban and income-restricted communities by surrounding them with consistent mentorship, relevant learning experiences, and real-world opportunities.

Our Mission

CTYM empowers girls and young people to:

  • Build confidence, identity, and a healthy sense of self-worth

  • Strengthen academic skills and develop college and career readiness

  • Practice emotional regulation, resilience, and positive decision-making

  • Explore STEM, health & beauty, entrepreneurship, and leadership pathways

  • Serve their neighborhoods through community service and advocacy

We design every program—from site-based school initiatives to community-based mentoring, camps, and career labs—to help youth not only succeed in school, but also thrive in life.

Our Goals

  • Increase access to high-quality mentoring and leadership development for 4th–12th grade youth

  • Improve academic performance through tutoring, school partnerships, and year-round support

  • Expand exposure to college, careers, STEM, trades, and entrepreneurship

  • Strengthen families and communities through service, collaboration, and wraparound supports

  • Raise a generation of confident, compassionate leaders who give back and create change

CTYM is intentionally building a pipeline of young women who are prepared to step into boardrooms, laboratories, classrooms, studios, and government offices—bringing their brilliance, lived experience, and leadership with them.

“When we treat our youth as innovators, they start to see their ideas as solutions. That’s when transformation really begins.”
